BOWING is a community art project, whose main languages are dance, music, video and visual arts. The objective is the social and cultural inclusion of foreign populations in the southwestern Alentejo territory, through regular artistic laboratories and an integrative performative moment. Based on the relationship with adult workers in agricultural greenhouses and students from the 4th to the 9th grade, the intention is to create bridges of communication between these populations and the Portuguese one. We seek understanding and knowledge of the various cultures and the development of the Portuguese language with the aim of inclusion. The project will provide moments of well-being, confidence, joy, curiosity to learn and self-knowledge through artistic practice. BOWING intends to create a feeling of belonging and of relationship with the territory where all these isolated foreigners are inserted, as well as the acceptance and freedom of expression of each individual.
